It was a good choice at the time (2015). Imho the exterior and cabin looked great vs the competition. Not the best riding (CR-V) or the best handling (CX-5) but it was practical for me coz for 1.5M it had the most legroom for the 1st and 2nd rows and the 4x4 was quick with the 2.5L engine. And it had a lot of the electronic nannies that weren't available to the competition at the time. And AVM.

But looking at the X-trail now, it really has fallen behind compared to newer rivals. The CR-V trumps it for both handling and ride quality. Even with the upgrades from the facelift, vs the other more modern offerings it feels dated, and that's ok for something that came 4-6 years before its more modern rivals. But no sense in buying one now unless it's offered at a substantial discount.
Hmmmm now it got me thinking baka CRV, Forester and CX5 na pagpilian ko. I’m really torn rin if I’d still include Fortuner sa list since gusto rin ng mom ko yan pero sometimes I find it very tiring na to drive a PPV since I have my Ranger rin naman. Kaya sabi ko try ko naman CUV for ride comfort with a higher ground clearance kesa sa mga sedan or subcompact kaso iniisip ko rin ang gas consumption. OT na ata! [emoji28]
