AFAIK, pareho lang matibay since we have both units at the office (Canter and Elf), although i noticed there are more Canters (possibly cheaper to acquire?). It will depend on the actual condition of the unit if you're buying the second hand and regular maintenance.

Why not invest in brand new units? Light trucks are not that expensive to acquire brand new ... IMHO.
And you will save in the long run on maintenance issues, plus you get factory warranty.

dont get me wrong madami din kaming subic vehicles - but best is brand new
yes! never buy a china made vehicle for now, baka maHAIMAk buhay mo at FOTONin ka sa kalsada

Of the 4 NKR's that we have on our fleet yung 2 naka 4BC2 na ngayon the other 2 naman naka 4BD1. While yung mga Canter namin na mas luma eh orig na 4D31 pa rin ang makina although lahat yun na overhaul na, not bad for a truck that is already more than 20 years old.
In the last 7 years we bought 6 units of Isuzu Forward wing vans all of them surplus from Subic and all of them ayos na ayos pa to date. Importante lang na may kasama kang marunong tumingin when buying a surplus truck.
