August 11th, 2013 02:19 PM #1This is my 2nd thread. I want to re-post my situation
1. Budget range: 400-600K
2. Preferred model year: 2005-2011. (I think I can never find any car from 2012-2013 model with my budget.)
3. Maintenance expense (replace of engine oil, gas, parking, etc... Please give me a range per month if you can)
4. Power: I've experienced some cars (of my family) that its engine wasn't stable. I even stopped in the middle of the road and I was panicking. I don't want that to be happened. So prolly strong engine would be my preference as well.
5. Either gasoline or diesel is okay but I don't want fuel-sucker type of car like 4km/L
My first choice was Xtrail and the next was Everest.
And I'm also considering other cars like Tucson, Sportage, and Rav4.
Can you please help me? Or at least share your experience with those cars I mentioned? Especially Maintenance and PowerSince I'm still a student, maintenance is the most important part

August 11th, 2013 03:08 PM #5What are the reasons why you go for Rav4 among the choices?
I just read about Rav4 and Xtrail comparisons and they said Rav4 is much more durable? I really don't want to bring a car to service center frequently just because it has a problem and I have to spend extra money for it.

Hi Sir, have you own a Ford vehicle? I own both 2009 and 2010 Escape/CRV. I find the CRV parts much expensive than Escape regardless if the parts are from banawe or casa. Maybe you're referring to US made ford vehicles like the old explorer and expedition. Mahal talaga mya pyesa nun.
On topic:
Cross out the X-Trail and RAV4 sir. They are both gas guzzler. Perhaps a 1st gen Tucson is qualified on your price range and criteria. Just look for a pristine condition. Good luck!
