6, 4 or 3 cylinder depending on what you need. Power and economy.

My answer's slightly different: the Honda Accord 2.4L or the Mazda 6 2.5.
I'm not fully convinced the VCM system of the Accord 3.5 is as efficient as it's cracked up to be in Manila conditions. Also I'm generally not a fan of big-engined FWD cars either, because the engine weight usually blunts the car's responses.

May 2nd, 2008 09:33 PM #6If I can stretch the budget a little more i'd take the Mercedes C180 Classic, I think its 2.480M at the moment. It may only have a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine but for me its still a proper Benz unlike an A or a B class and has the "snob appeal" which the Accord, Camry and other Jap cars are lacking. Another alternative would be a BMW 320i which is a very good handling car.

May 2nd, 2008 11:18 PM #10If its between a C180 or an Accord/Camry V6, I'd definitely go for the Japanese sedan.
I feel buying a base model like a C180 or say, a 316 is like buying a car just because of the brand. Sorry but for me, mas may street cred pa ang high spec Japanese sedan kung ganun lang.
