TMPC is probably not handling the sales for Lexus here in PH.
Parang nasa TMPC lang talaga tong gumagawa ng mga kalokohang sales tactics.

    From TMPC's website:

"Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) is the largest automotive company in the country, with the widest vehicle line-up of 23* Toyota models (including the latest addition, the Yaris Cross and Zenix) and 12* Lexus Models. It has 74* dealers nationwide, including Lexus Manila, Inc., for its sales distribution and service centers."

    if i have to guess,
lexus buyers have the moolah and do not want to be swept this way and that.
"gimme what i want, or i take my business elsewhere. and i'll tell my friends just what kind of dealer you are."
lexus phils sold 1843 units in 2023.

I have the same assumption. You don't want to piss off buyers of Lexus, they occupy the upper echelon of society and you don't want their ire.

Buyers of Toyotas can very well do the same thing.

many of the toyota buyers "prefer" installment. and one disgruntled costumer won't probably have the herd influence over other similar buyers.
but think of the damage one disgruntled captain of industry can do, while relaxing with his friends in a game of golf.

With social media? A Toyota buyer would have the same voice if not louder.

    what're they saying?
"i can't buy cash, and neither can you!"
and because toyota has loads of costumers, they plain do not care.

    but for lexus,
with less than 2000 cars sold last year, with good profit per car sold and serviced, "lexus phils don't want to find out, what the disgruntled potential lexus costumer might do."

If buyers vote with their wallets, they will listen. We've seen that in the past. They are not the only game in town.

    matagal kunang sinasabi yan.
alas! there's not enough potential costumers voting with their wallets, to make a significant dent in toyota's sales charts.
"i have 100 cars to sell, and i have 101 costumers willing to buy the car on installment."

sa lexus costumer... with less than 2000 cars sold last year, i imagine, every car sold, cash or installment, is a godsend.
