We all know Rover is a premium brand, like a BMW or Mercedes or Audi. They cost much more than the usual Toyota.

For the Prado diesel, it shares the same engine as the Fortuner which costs half the price.

Thanks everyone, natuwa naman si wifey since I had her drive it around the village earlier. She likes the all-around visibility

November daw yung Explorer. Last minute nagtanong ako if may stock, Wala raw and soon after the agent said the Prado’s here na.

Ok naman yung ride, not floaty but very comfy. Full tank of Petron blaze was 4.4k, still have to use go through the usual routes to see how it compares to our other vehicles.

Dami pang blanks and I’m looking forward videos on what I can install that’s not for off-roading… Wala pa ako dun. The HU app section has android play(?) and Apple CarPlay but I don’t know how to use it yet. I’d just use Bluetooth for Spotify. Sound quality is not great but ok, not to many options to enhance except through the EQ.

HU clock seems to have a mind of its own, couldn’t change it and it was off by 3mins from my phones which I then used to pair with the other clock on the dash.

Wheels are stock 19s, supposedly an improvement for the 2021 model. When the tires wear out I’ll probably go with something bigger but executive look pa rin.

Overall I’m happy, looking forward to learning more about the car

By the way, I’m looking for rubber mats as well as a trunk liner. With 3 kids, mukhang Hindi tatagal yung existing mats niya sa amin

Hoover - check out Xyter in Banawe for custom interior mats. Paid only 2500 for the front and rear mats.

For the trunk liner, marami sa Lazada.

Talaga bang Blaze fuel ng Toyota 4.0L V6 engine? I guess the usual 91RON will do.

To be sure, just check the manual. If it requires premium, most likely 95RON. Wala naman ata common petrol engine that requires higher than 97RON.

If it does require 95RON, just use Petron XCS or kung tipid, UniOil 95RON with discount from S&R card.

Aggressive ka ba sa expressways? Do you have any plans to test how fast your ride can do?

Yes I’ll check out the manual again.

I’m not usually that aggressive, depends on the car that I’m using. Well, fast but not aggressive, if that makes sense.

I’ll probably test it at some point but after that high speeds are gonna be few and far between…

The good thing with gas engines is that you can rev it to 6k rpm and that V6 will surely sing. Maybe later after the mandatory 1k km break-in period.

Agree, looking forward to post break-in!
