September 19th, 2014 02:26 PM #1Here are the pointers:
* Mostly city driving
* Maximum of 4 people (including 1 toddler), but mostly just 1 (office) or 3 (weekends) people
* Low maintenance costs
* Low fuel consumption
* (Interior) Boot space good to have but not life or death
* Higher driving (eye) level better
Other pointers:
* Size of Ranger for parking and maneuvering is fine
* Slight modding would be good - mags, slight lift
* Coming from an A/T, going for an M/T for fuel consumption and cheaper price
* 3 years loan, so minimum of 3 years ownership
Which is better out of the two?

I will choose the montero rather
than the Ranger cause owners say
there is turbo lag on the 2.2l ranger and
and the montero is better
cause you have a babby on board,easy acces to the rear compartment kung kailangan magpalit ng diaper
si baby
BTW what happen to your other thread did you cancel the used explorer??

Hi sir, were on the exactly the same shoes last year!! hehe
Summary:
Parts = masmadaming alternatives sa strada/montero compare sa ranger and much cheaper

montero. di mo naman need ang pick up e. may baby pa na passenger so more comfort for the baby. and mommy syempre.
suggest ko lang na lagyan mo ng wheel spacers on all 4 wheels kahit 1 inch lang, pang-counter sa high center of gravity.

Montero definitely. Don't buy a pickup unless you need the pickup bed, otherwise you'll be living with an extra 1 meter of length that's a pain to park and maneuver in traffic with.
Only plus point of the Ranger (or any pickup) is that it's much cheaper than the equivalent SUV.
If you're on a tight budget and don't need 7 seats and can live with a large bed, you can get the pickup. But for majority of people, an SUV is a better fit.
