My dad is planning to sell his Gen. 2 Expedition due to "kumakalampag" na front shocks. The two vans are our choices. Which of the two is better in terms of:

    1. Ride comfort
    2. Convenience features
    3. Performance
    4. Maintenance costs
    5. Flexibility (Can accomodate my dad's numerous surgical instruments and implants and during long trips can accommodate 9-10 passengers)
    6. Safety features

Your inputs will be very much appreciated. TIA!

i think E-150 is in a class of its own... GMC savana siguro ang ka-match niyan...

your family currently owns an expedition so medyo ang maitenance cost niyan and halos at par with the expedition

E-150 has more capacity to accomodate your dad's equipment

comfort- nakasakay na ako both mastype ko ride nung e-150 (maybe because hindi cramped like the starex)

sa angas factor panalo E-150, standard ride yan sa mga garahe ng mga congressman... 2 kaibigan ko anak ng congressman meron sila niyan.hehe

Bar None: Hyundai Grand Starex HVX

    Why??
    - Fuel efficient (has a diesel)
    - More spare parts
    - Discounts aplenty
    - Comfortable ride (even if its truck based)

If you're inclined on getting a Ford E-150, forget about it.

Because of the maintenance cost kaya umaaray parents ko ngayon. We now spent more than 100k just for the replacement of the front shocks thrice in the past month.

If that's the case then go for the Hyundai. Maintenance of the E150, not to mention the fuel costs will be very expensive. Although it will be much comfortable, the Starex isn't far behind in terms of ride comfort.

In terms of space, yes the E150 is huge but the Starex is also big inside.

Was about to type na get the E 150 kaso nakito ko umaray kayo sa expedition.

Get the Grand Starex (not the Limo version... sobrang overpriced mga yun) and be done with it.

If you've had to replace the shocks three times in one month, that's not the car... you're being swindled by your parts supplier!

I have relatives with Expeditions, Navigators and E150s... and while maintenance is not a piece of cake, not even those who drive hundreds of kilometers per trip (Manila-Tugegarao or Manila-Baguio and back) have to replace shocks that often.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
