I would go for the Jazz. Long term ha. Built quality, after sales service, resale value. I've never regretted buying my hatch way back 94. After 10 years and you still have the Jazz, nagkalat na surplus engines nyan(Type R?) and all the JDM items you can buy. Saya yun

April 18th, 2006 01:04 PM #66We recently got the 1.5VVT Swift from Suzuki Makati. We got the pearl white color.
We were deciding whether to get the VTEC Jazz or this unit. Even if we had to wait for more than 3 weeks to get our unit, we opted for the Swift.
Space is not bad for a small car though fitting three people at the back would be sardinian at best.
Ride is okay - bit on the firm side.
Handling is superb. Was able to take the corners of the Kalayaan flyover from Buendia to The Fort at 90kmh (I could do better but Im not exactly confident with the 185-width tyres).
Styling is timeless. No doubt about it.
Engine performance. 110hp with 143nm of torque... okay na okay! It reminds me of the power being produced by bigger 1.6li displacement engines. REALLY FAST! You really wouldnt expect it to be that fast. We've been flooring the car almost all the time in the city and we get 9km/li on the mileage computer.

Haha... baka ma-kumbinsi is Odell dito.
But then again, I still can't forget our clubmate's Jazz 1.5 slicing it up on a wet track at the BRC... ang cute!
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
