104 wheel HP lang ang FD??? Man that's low. The old B13 1.6L Sentras used to get 100-105 (even 110) wheel HP with a good set of headers and an well-designed air intake. I guess the modern emission controls really takes its toll on output.

Subic cars? You mean Japan surplus converted? Baka pahihirapan ka on registration bro. Hindi mo pa alam kung ano yung state ng conversion niya.

Pasok naman ang 2008 na FD sa 400k ah. 1.8S panga eh, at di 1.8V. This one for example... Honda Civic - 08 1.8s | Cars for sale Quezon City | AyosDito.ph Reasonable mileage, looks well preserved. Seems worthy of a visit. Being 1.8S, it has airbags and ABS too. Manual tranny also means it makes a bit more than 104whp.

Depends on the Subic car you are buying. My ninong bought a Japan surplus LC90 Prado. Ang ganda talaga. No major problems since buying. When it was Ondoy'd, inayos lang ng talyer sa tabi tabi, at yun ang unang naayos sa lahat ng mga nalubog na sasakyan nila.

Ok ang Subic car if you are sure that no expense was spared on the conversion, it has clean papers, and it has local counterparts for you to source spare parts from.

If it uses a 4AGE, you should have little to no problem with engine parts. But then if something model specific breaks down, you may have some problems in hunting for parts. No parts would mean the car would be sitting useless in the garage till such time that you are able to dig up parts. The horror... Especially if it's your only car which you depend upon to go to work daily.

Well, can't argue about the necessity of the car given your location of home and work But looking at your buying choices (MRS, Civic, etc.), hindi lang necessity yung habol mo pero porma din it seems. If necessity then you would do best to look for a simple but well kept car and easy to maintain car within your budget range of 200K to 250K plus change for repairs and maintenance (i.e. City, Vios, Getz, Picanto, etc.).

On converted cars, keep away if you're not sure with what you're getting into. But yeah, at 400K, a Civic or Corolla fits the bill.
