Good day mga ka-tsikot! Recent months I posted of buying a Multicab van to replace our Owner Type Jeep as a daily driver. But it turns out buying these "Kei" vans are really pricey. So I opted to look for an alternative. I came across a Toyota Corolla XL 1997. The seller is a private seller and based on the detailed pictures sent from me, I can say the car is in good shape but just to be sure I want to check it personally. I have some few knowledge in the mechanical basis and I was wondering if you can give me some tips in what to look when checking a second hand car. Thanks in advance! :D

If you want the best tip for this kind of scenario, go to your local repair shop and talk to one of the technicians with the most experience. Ask him if he can accompany you to check the car. Pay for his fare and meals, and probably pay him for the day. This will be the most reliable (though not the cheapest) way for you to make sure that car is good enough to buy.
Hope it helps.
