Hi , my Hyundai Accent CRDi 2010 will be sold next week. Im finding myself a compact car with the looks and reasonable FC.
Which of these are the best and why?
Hyundai Elantra 1.6 GL A/T
Hyundai Elantra 1.8 GLS A/T
Honda Civic 1.8S A/T
Toyota Altis 1.6G/V A/T
Chevrolet Cruze 1.8 LS A/T
I removed Lancer EX GLX/GLS on my list since i find the interior pretty bland for my taste.

No Focus among the choices? On the options above, I would go for the Elantra GLS.

June 19th, 2013 02:18 PM #3Depends on your route, but if you're after FC, then you're better of with the 1.6L's. I suggest you get the Elantra for this one. But then remember that none of these choices will be as fuel efficient or pull as strong as your current ride. Don't you want to consider the new Accent CRDi?

Actually i considered it.. But parang gusto ko na uli ng gasoline.. gusto ko uli maramdaman un walang vibration un sasakyan mo.
Elantra 1.6 MT or AT? Di ba underpowered pag A/T na 1.6 Elantra? Parang analaki ng body?

The Elantra 1.6 GL has the most output among the 1.6L compacts. Next one is the Focus 1.6L. The City/Jazz 1.5L even has more output compared to the Altis 1.6L and Lancer EX 1.6L.

June 19th, 2013 04:51 PM #8Test drive mo nalang para maramdaman mo talaga. The 1.6 Elantra has 130ps, which is already the domain of some 1.8L engines. The M/T will definitely give better FC, but it also loses out on safety features like 4 wheel disc brakes and I think also ABS. If you'll be doing lots of highway, having a 6 speed tranny should give you excellent FC as long as you keep a light foot on the gas.
On a side note, mahina na ang vibration sa Accent CRDi ah, nasa vicinity na ng gasoline engines! I've ridden in some well maintained Accent CRDi cabs and I was impressed.

Yup mahina naman bro vibration di mo ramdam pag ikaw sakay. pero ramdam mo once your holding the steering wheel.. Unlike gasoline engine na kala mo patay pa makina mo kahit bukas na
Sige bro.. but im sided with Elantra 1.6 M/T now for better FC.. i think i can leave with M/T naman.. ang gusto ko kasi sa diesel pag M/T mas madali sa traffic, clutch palang binibitawan mo malakas na agad abante.
