June 19th, 2020 09:23 AM #1Hello.
I saw this sa market place sa fb:
Chevrolet spark 2011 a/t
-66k mileage
- new shock absorber
- new tire
- new battery
Price: 200k
Mahirap ba humanap ng pyesa? Sa province po kasi gagamitin.
First time bibili ng car and gusto ko po sana malaman pros and cons ng chev spark.
Ano po ba ang the best na compact/hatchback car? Yung madali po imaintain, matipid sa gas at madali po hanapan ng parts? Sorry po madami tanong.
Thanks.[emoji846]

June 19th, 2020 09:49 AM #2chevrolet spark users are few, especially in the province. i expect parts to be not as easy to get as the japanese cars'.
toyota and the other japanese cars are more plentiful. sabi nga ng iba, you can buy some of their parts from shoemart...
hatchback? wigo.
see what car brand has its presence in your area. them's the car brand to get.

Had some service experience w/ 3 company issued Sonics, which is sorta under Chevy's Gamma II global platform....meaning, the US-assembled share parts w/ those sold here, not all. Dealership prices are high, higher than shipping them in from US vendors...& you have to be resourceful in finding the precise part numbers if your local dealership won't be helpful. Availability outside dealership can be limited.
Though they have had no major issues, aging will mean a refresh of wear items soon. 1 needed 2 new engine mounts, valve cover seal...all ordered from the US for less than $100. Here the mounts were more each....just an idea. Oh, the cars never saw dealership PMS, we DIY'd them from new.
I presume the Spark to be similar or more challenging as it gets older. Ph Spark population, though higher than the Sonic, is still considered endangered.
If you're not handy w/ cars, I'd say stay away....& stick to what the good dr. d prescribed... common nippons.
