TS, try to check Nissan Navara 2009 - 2012 models.

    Happy hunting. Cheers!

If gusto mo least sakit ng ulo among the three, I would personally say the Fortuner 2.7Gas model is a good option (assuming city driving is the main location where you will use the vehicle).

Hilux, kahit anung gawin mo, matalbog yan kapag walang load. So, for me, I wouldn't recommend.

Between Monty and Fort that are diesels, I pick the Montero to be honest kung performance lang criteria, but problema mo lang if natapat ka sa ASBU sa daan na bigla ka natempt humarurot or tumapak.

Sabihin mo na tahimik sa loob kahit papaano, pero outside, maingay talaga compared to other diesels for whatever reason. So gusto niyo either park ako sa labas (open area) or patayin ko agad. hehe!

So dahil sa ingay and/or issue ng ASBU, kaya ko nasabi consider Fortuner 2.7 Gas G or V Trim.
    4) tahimik inside and out so yung sound system mo, kahit hindi upgraded ang speakers, rinig mo. Panget ang stock speakers ng Montero (Fyi) and yung AVT unit ng Montero, prone to failure. Yung amin napawarranty ko na dati nung 2 years old, after 3 years, sira na touchscreen ulit. So hindi tatagal ang Montero head unit in my experience. =)
    5) Since depreciated na siya na around 8 years, wala na siya masyado magiging "loss" sa depreciation. Ika-nga, pako na presyo siya kahit papaano or mas mabagal na ang down slide ng pricing.

Hope that helps. This is entirely my opinion
Thanks so much for this insight!

    Expect 5-6km/l city, 9-10 highway.

I suggest you look specifically for the Montero GLX model, iirc that was priced at 1.3M, 1.1M after discounts brand new a few years ago before the 3rd gen was released. Baka may machambahan ka 2013 or newer model with your budget.

You said you live in Baguio? Not to mention that traffic in Baguio plus the ups and downs make for rather poor fuel efficiency for any vehicle.

If you are into ride comfort and performance, pretty much nothing in this class beats the Santa Fe. Fuel consumption isn't class leading, but decent enough especially considering lower diesel fuel cost. My Gen 2 consumed about 1/4 tank Manila to Baguio (75L tank capacity). From there Baguio-Sagada-Baguio-Manila consumed 65.54L (9.4km/L). This included a snarling, hour long traffic jam near the Bocaue tollgate during the return trip.

As with any vehicle, check thoroughly to ensure that it is in good condition.

Fortuner or Montero Gas, good luck. naranasan ko na umakyat ng bagyo ng 3 full tank , 1 full tank papunta, 1 full tank for a 4 night stay in John Hay Session Road Baguio, 1 full tank pauwi.

It's a v6 explorer, just about the same siguro with those old Fortuner/ Montero gas, same size body.

3 full tank at P3K++. = 9K++, putsa dalwang 2 nights stay na hotel yun
