If you're going to be keeping the box, people can't simply "recommend" subwoofers because different subwoofers behave differently depending on the box. This is why I often tell people who are constructing their car audio setup to first know their needs THEN choose a subwoofer. Because you need to choose which and what are your box specifications FIRST.. THEN you choose a subwoofer driver suitable for your preferred enclosure.

A subwoofer's performance is directly correlated with its box. Put a great speaker in a non-optimal box and it'll sound horrible. That's why we have Thiele-Small parameters for speaker drivers and box calculators.

For example, there are subwoofers that are designed for sealed applications while some are ported. Sealed boxes are way easier.. as you'll be paying attention to T/S parameter Qtc of the box and the driver. On the otherhand, ported applications are a pain as different drivers require longer, shorter, "fatter", or maybe "thinner" ports and all. This affects the T/S parameter of Fc or what we usually call as the "tuned frequency"

Boss, if I set the subwoofer's crossover for a low-pass filter of 45hz at a slope of 36dB/octave -20dB gain tapos naka L-ported box ka with a typical tuning of 38hz at Fc.. may mararamdaman kaya akong kick?

Ano po ibigsabihin ng "hindi flat ang tunog"?

Ang experience ko kasi dito masyado malakas yun subwoofer kaya parang may party sa likod. Ano po ang suggestion niyo para mapablend ko sila kasi hindi swabe ang tunog.
