Re: audio set-up for beginners [continued]
good morning!
question lang mga sir. ang dami ko nakikita nakamichi na gear ngayon parang sobrang mura.
are these china knock offs?
may speaker nga 6.5coax nasa 1,350 lang.
noon kasi natandaan ko rare ang nakamichi tapos yun headunit nila single din ubod ng mahal. double or triple the price to comparable pioneers.. wala pa atang double din stereos noon. Salamat.

For the seps doubters: I recorded Billie Elish's Bad Guy being played on my basic setup with just a Pioneer AVH-P4000 and DLS seps. No amps, no subs. Just HU and seps.
I've had this setup on my Pajero for more than 10 years now.
Around 2:30 there's a bass drop in the song. You can hear it reproduced quite clearly. Recorded with a Huawei P30.

What model of DLS do you have on the Pajero?

Memory may be hazy because setup was done more than 10 years ago, but I remember it was right in the middle of the DLS line. Higher than the basic models but lower than the very expensive ones. Reference/Magnesium ata.
Was around 12-13k for the front pair of seps around 2009-2010 if that helps. Coax of the same line for rear fill.

i like DLS too. my dads navara still has dls 6x9s sa front. yung parang dilaw na kevlar yung basket. napasin ko lang parang mahirap na maghanap ng dls locally ngayon.

Baka yung RM6. That model replaced the older R6A. I used the R6A before and run it 2-way full active powered by a DLS CA51 5-channel amplifier. I used a slim RF 10” sub in a small sealed box for the bass.
Even without the sub, the R6A when powered is enough to fill the confines of my old Exalta before with that typical warm sounds of a DLS separates.

If you want DLS components, go to Mickeys Autosound (Marikina) or Winterpine (Araneta Avenue).

dls, morel, focal ang mga popular brands dati na alam ko sa kakatingin ng mga presyo nila sa webpage ng mickey's[emoji28]. you can't go wrong to any of the 3 but of course, dapat maalam yung magtotono para maganda tunog.

Yes I think that's it! RM6.2.
Another reason I recommend separates is the clarity of the music itself (not just the bass). Stock head units have improved, but outside of high-end cars most stock speakers are still a bit 'bitin' for me. Majority of music is in the midrange, and a sub won't do anything to improve that.
