First thing is that "porma" is normally expensive. I always advice those who venture into car audio to not underestimate how much this hobby drains our wallets.. literally. Masmabilis talaga if you provide us with complete details rather than us making guesses on what your equipment is. ALWAYS indicate a budget

First thing is to get a proper headunit. Pioneer/Alpine, ikaw na bahala dyan. Both are good brands and you can't really go wrong with either of them. Personally, I like Alpine's 117 and 9887 (around 13k) for its tuning flexibility. Anything else and I stick with Pioneer (especially their yummy P99RS.. pero nasa pangarap ko lang yun)

iandvro in KAC was suggesting to deaden the doors. Deadening is to help reduce panel resonance.. in short, better sound from the speaker. But it's expensive for its "additional" benefits. Best leave it out on a budget setup and use the money on a better sounding front separates instead.

There's no such thing as a "mura" setup. You typically get what you payed for. Most Banawe installers offer sound packages that include free installation and "tuning" (I won't hope much from them though) so be sure to take advantage of that. I can't give you recommendations on what to purchase... these info is just a search away. So next time, use the search button.

Also, as tsikotshops says, stop using V12s. Mabilis lang sila masira so in the long run, you're spending more. In this case, I'll take a good amp over 5 cheapo amps.

Alpine was actually selling the 9887 at 12k during the Trans Sport Show in SMX :D

Oo nga sir eh. Inuubos ang pera sa wallet ko. Haha. Salamat sa reply sir. Pero okay ba yung Pioneer na nirerecommend sakin ni sir tsikot? Mahal kasi nung alpine. May kenwood stock speakers ako pwede na ba yun? Dagdagan ku nalang ng seps?

Take it slow. Best replace headunit first then those kenwood speakers. The biggest difference would be from replacing these two components.

Sir, eto nalang po ang bibilhin ko na headunit pioneer 6350. Okay na po ba yan? Wala po kasing usb port yung alpine. Salamat po! San po ba mura sa banawe sir?

Para saan ba yun USB port? For iPod or USB stick use? If iPod, you can always use Alpine's KCE-422 iPod cable... propriety, sad, but at least kaya ng 9887 iPod controls

How far are you planning on your sound setup? If you plan on building gradually. Splurging on a 9887 would be better in the long run rather than selling your existing headunit. But if you plan on a relatively simple setup (in other words: walang sali-sali sa competition), a Pioneer 6350 suffices.

As an alternative.. You might want to look at the Alpine 9886's successor. Forgot ko na kung anong model number but it should have a USB port (9887's successor is the CDA-117 if I remember)

Kung bakit ang mahal pa ng mga 9887 is because of its time alignment features. Possibly the #1 requirement in having a "good" sound system. Mahirap kasi pagwalang T/A and then sumasali ka lang sa competitions. You'd be hard-pressed to win.

Pagsimpleng sounds lang, I think okay naman mag Pionner ng mga 3-6k. Pili lang, no use being fussy since at its category, same lang naman mga features nila. There would be a lot of KAC people who'll be coming tomorrow night (Wednesday 8pm June 1) sa resto ni Tita elco at Kamias QC (check KAC for details) for an audition. I'll be there too since hihingi pa ako ng tuning tips sa mga masters, I think it would be worth the visit para makakuha ka ng tips sa mga tao doon. I'd say yun buong stay mo (8pm-11pm) would be worth 20 threads about sounds. I started out there din kasi.

P.S. Hindi ako nagaftermarket HU. Went for OEM headunit tapos nagdagdag nalang ako ng processor. More costly pero hirap maghanap ng dashkit sa auto ko.
