BMW 316i 1995 - 1998

Goodday Sir/s!

I'm planning to buy a Bmw 316i 1195-1998 kasi same body lang po ata sila diba? so question po eh mahal po ba ang parts nito?mahirap po ba i-maintain?how about the gas consumption ok po ba? any problem/s sa model na ganito? Tnx! Need you opinions and suggestions it will help a lot!

Ok naman ung 316i kung kukuha ka , nka 316i rin ako ok naman consumption 6-8 km/l kung 1500-3000 rpm ang shifting mo , mejo mahal rin ang maintenance compared sa japanese counterparts nya. if gusto mo talaga ung e36 body na bmw mag 320d ka or 320i ka para mas malakas ung hatak . pwede ka rin mag e46 kung pasok sa budget. problem sa model na e36-e46 pag more than 12 years na usually palit na ang suspension pero kung gusto mo marami naman supplier dyan

Sir, gusto ko 316i eh di naman ako sa hatak at sa lakas ng makina importante sakin maganda sa paningin ko at maayos naman makina at pang ilalim..saan ba usually nagpapagawa ng BMW?yung mura lang and also the parts where can I buy the cheapest? Tnx!

Why european? Kahit luma yan, mas mahal maintenance mo compared sa japanese counterpart... Kung budgetted ka sa pagbili ng BMW and don't have an extra for maintenance.. Better rethink and reconsider other options... Sa panahon ngayon, its better to be practical kaysa hahabulin mo nga yun brand, dadaing ka naman sa maintenance...

316i E36 is good. It is cheap to maintain if you know where to bring it. After you've fixed it, it's almost the same as maintaining Japanese cars as long as you know where to bring it and where to get the parts. Don't bring it to the stealerships.

Parts last longer and the driving pleasure is way better than even the Camry or Accord. There are a lot of places who are better than casa and cheaper too such as German Motors and Frau Auto Services.

Sir, may experience ka na ba sa BMW? Kung E36 and E46 lang madami na gumagawa nito and nag bebenta ng murang parts. Search mo nalang kung saan. Baka magulat ka pa na mas mura ang ibang parts compared sa Japanese cars. Meron na din surplus parts nag bebenta kagaya ni Ricky Chua sa may Teachers Village sa QC.

TS, makinig ka sa may mga owners ng BMW wag sa wala and umaasa din sa kwento or stealerships lang ang alam na pagawaan.

Bro, register ka sa BMW Club Philippines, Bimmer Club Philippines and Euro Car Club Philippines para mas matulungan ka. Nandun din mga shops and nagbebenta ng parts na sobra layo price sa stealerships. Ang okay dun may BMW mismo mag advice sayo so actual experience talaga.

It's a rock-solid car, and due to the RWD its handling is improved due to the better steering setup.

Had one before, it was a 96 model, I owned it from 2001-2003. Kung fuel consumption ang pag uusapan, matipid sya, I remember getting at least 8.5km/l on city driving. Kung sa hatak naman, it isn't exactly slow, kung sa arangkada kaya ka maiwanan ng Civic VTI (EK) pero pag sa rekta, that's where the BMW shines, napatakbo ko yung akin hanggang 185km/h and it was rock solid at that speed (remember the days na wala pang speed limit sa NLEX at wala pang SCTEX). Yun nga lang mahal ang maintenance at that time, wala pa kasi yung mga European motors, Frau and etc. noon so I was stuck with the casa at that time (BMW Libis) For major service, I would spend about 20k on the average. Minsan incompetent din yung mga tao sa casa, wala nang alam kundi mag palit ng parts, I remember being quoted 40k+ for an alternator simply because the bearings have worn out inside, di ko pinagawa sa casa yon, I had our mechanic in the office replace the bearings and after that it was good as new, it cost me only 500 or 600 pesos. But the final blow came when the ABS started acting up, pina check ko sa casa and was horrified being quoted 75k for the ABS unit. At that point, I decided to sell the car and got an MB instead since marami akong kilala sa MB circles because of my dad's car.
