July 6th, 2016 06:15 PM #2For new user, pinakasafe sa paint is DA polisher talaga.
Ang rotary tool kasi kahit set mo sa lowest speed ay single action pa rin, i.e. it only spins flat.
Where as yung DA polisher by its name is dual action, i.e. it has orbital motion.
If gagamit ka nyang rotary tool, you need to practice on some spare car panels. Hanap ka sa junkyard.

July 7th, 2016 12:18 PM #6With KP600, you would need to modify the backing plate and add velcro strips. Standard polisher pads have velcro backing.
Still the problem with KP600 is low power and torque. Recommended for waxing and buffing lang sya.
For paint correction, you need high power and torque para mabilis ang trabaho. The usual is 6-speed DA polishers. Speed 1-3 for waxing/buffing. Speed 4-6 for polishing/compounding.

I used to own something similar... Although just the consumer type which is powered by the car's 12V socket.
IMO, if you clean your car regularly, I don't find the need to own it.
It was very helpful for my dad's car because his paint had this dark stains (maybe because he loves to park under a tree)
But for the regular car wax, you can do it manually, the "extra shine" is almost negligible.
