Some waxes like that of Turtle Wax and Formula 1 claim their products lasts up to 12 months. What's your opinion on this? Is this true?
Thanks.

Its true that it can last for 12 months (theoretically).. Realistically, it can last maybe 1 to 2 months :-)

it is impossible for waxes to last up to 12 months. A more realistic figure would be 1 month. The same cant be said for sealants however. Sealants could last anywhere from 3-8 mos. in our weather conditions. Another factor is how you wash your car. A way to strip off all the wax would be to use laundry soap to wash your car. Better to use a good shampoo to take care of the car after waxing/sealing.

Under our weather, wax on a daily driver will last anywhere from 3-4 weeks.
