    Whats the meaning of car hoods painted in black? I'm just curious... I find it ok naman but just want to know ung meaning... Thanks.

    For me, they are trying to look cool na carbon fiber kuno ang hood nila.

    One way to reduce the weight of a car is to change the metal hood to carbon fiber.

    Madami din akong nakikitang ganyan, pero bibihira lang yung talagang CF ang hood.

    It's interesting to note that the CF panels purchased by hobbyist tuners and street racers for their mods, are rarely made of full carbon fiber.

    Oftentimes, the panels are just made of a single CF layer laminated onto the fiberglass, for the "look" of carbon fiber. Then they just leave it unpainted to show the carbon fiber weave.

    Yet stores are selling them as "real" CF hoods or panels... hehe dami din kasi nagpapa-uto eh.

    yup... based on hearsay, it can add around 1-2 hp on your car...
