the phuv project should have focused on this Kei cars rather than utility-all-around side in the first place. In my opinion
Those who are willing and able wants a little more of the individuality and going to point a-b cheap and easy. And these are those working in the offices, hospitals, etc. (callcenters/bpo, bankers, medreps, salesreps, IT, etc)
:office:
oh wait, and the local govt (mamang pulis, barangay, etc -multicabs)
grabe na traffic and gas situation
Go guys!

ehnriko will be emaling you guys.
*foifoi5,
Welcome back and hope you stay on. Actually tama si don - although you are probably unaware of it - your tableta did inspire (it still does) a lot enthusiasm and interest and (offline) discussion.
Re the kei car - I guess you can say hindsight is always 20/20. Our preliminary research and field surveys indicated our target market preferred a utility vehicle over a mini-car. These actually matched up with previous studies conducted by both the government and academic researchers.
However, since then, gas prices have increased significantly and are still increasing with the end nowhere in sight. In addition, several kei-sized cars were introduced into the local market. While initial acceptance have been tepid, we are beginning to see more and more of the cars on EDSA, the local streets, and even on NLEX/SLEX. Even the China-made QQ is beginning to be a familiar sighting both in MetroManila streets and in provincial roads. Obviously this is an indication of the growing market acceptance and a change of mindset, brought about by the painful economic times.

perhaps a diesel powered kei car could help. problem is, the kei car frame/chassis should be strong enough to handle the torsion from the engine
