May 5th, 2011 06:49 PM #2I have the same problem. Actually, my TCM got fried because of the design flaw that was done by the engineers of VW/Audi to which the water trickle down to the wires and into the component.
I heard there's one in New Manila, I'll get back to you as soon as I find it.

Thank you Bro. Somebody told me that there is one in heroes hill in quezon city also. but i am not sure if they can really do it programming my TCM. tindi ng PGA harang talaga! aftersales service nila is really bad. also the personnel's are not accommodating, papahirapan ka talaga, they will feel you na hopeless ka sa problema ng auto mo!

*beamer whacko,
The one in heroes hill is owned by Mawi Chanco, a VW bug (now Audi) repair specialist, I already took my TCM there but I couldn't find the right part number. I'm getting good at removing Audi parts ever since I had the problem. Not to burst your bubbles, but I think the A4 (B5 platform) is a lemon. I acquired another A4 B5 just to see if the problem is common, lo & behold, the same transmission problem arised, this time it was not the TCM, but I'm getting a slide on 1st & 2nd gear during cold weather (rainy season), I had to heat up the car for 10 mins to get to 70~80 degrees before it shifts smoothly. I've done everything I could, from replacing filter, atf oil, gaskets on the trany, but to no avail. I utterly despise the way the a/t was designed & electronically wired, Audi people should recall this model, too bad because I really love the comfort and the ride. My sons 15 yr. old E36 is way more reliable!
just my 2 cents.

Mga bro, were you able to fix your tranny issues? Did you replace any component like the TCM or worst the tranny itself? Last year kasi we went up Baguio City using my 2001 A4 B5 and I felt that as if my gearbox is slipping on high slope (Marcos highway). Gusto ko lang sana makakuha ng idea sa presyo ng spare parts para sa TCM or whole A/T. I just bought a VAG COM VCDS diagnostic system, it has the ability to code, read/erase faults and do basic settings of almost all the control units in AUDI, VW, SEAT & SKODA cars, if you need diagnostics for your cars just PM me, maybe I could help you.
