Bigla nawala yung lamig

Guys bigla nawalan ng lamig nung Adventure ko kanina. Pero kagabi ok pa naman sya. Pag naka on yung AC may naririnig akong parang sumisingaw. Nung pina Check ko sabi ng tumingin wala na daw freon at sure daw na may tagas. Eh kaka pa cleaning ko pa lang saka pa add ng freon 6 months ago.

Para maayos daw papalitan ng evaporator worth 3k saka cleaning + freon + compressor oil work 2.4k.

Ask ko lang sa mga ganung scenario ganyan ba talaga mga papalitan? Baka kasi ginagatasan lang ako...

paano nila na-diagnosed? nag-leak test ba sila(kita mo dapat) para ma-confirmed na palitin/may butas na ang evaporator mo? lines/fittings should be test for possible leaks also.
that's how it should be done, hindi pwedeng basta "sure daw" na may leak nga.

canvass ka din sa ibang shop kung magkano labor + materials sa ganoon klaseng trabaho.

Madami causes yung biglang pagkawala ng lamig ng AC. I would also help to backread the aircon and temperature forum.

If I may share: My Innova's aircon started acting up about 2 weeks ago. Minsan may lamig, minsan wala. Brought it to a AC shop for diagnosis. They checked the compressor, magnetic clutch, cabin filter, relay and switches. After that they proceed to check the pressures on the system (high and low). Turns out the system is low on freon. Initial diagnosis was a leak in the system. They charged the system with freon and asked me to observe if "mahilaw" ulit yung lamig, saka ko na lang ibalik daw sa kanila to trouble shoot the leak since matagal i-service ang AC ng Innova. My AC was back to normal, at least for the time being.

Total damage: P250.00

imho pag na low charge ang refrigerant it is a definite indicator of a leak. Usually its a small leak on the evaporator if it goes out slowly or acts up.

So give it a month or less your AC will again need service. But ok na if only 250 ang damage for the next few weeks.

Usually replace kung may leak sa evaporator. Cguro pwede na wag mo palinis pero kung may compressor oil na kumalat sa area ng leak kelangan linisin yun.

it is not easy to find welders who do aluminum... no impossible, just difficult..
personally, when i spring a leak, and it's already older, i replace rather than attempt to weld. my feeling is that, once an older unit starts leaking, sunud-sunod na yan lalabas.. but that will also depend on how expensive or available the replacement is..

(technically, it's not true welding.. just soldering.. the metal of the evaporator does not melt.. the worker just covers the leak with special solder..)
