November 13th, 2012 12:45 PM #11direct injections don't need glow plugs, some may have but not all diesel engine.... some only have heater coils to warm up the air.. kia J3 engine only have heater coils.. AFAIK 4JA1 isuzu don't have glow plugs
for engines with glow plug like 4D56, even if the heater indicator on your dash board turns off, your glow plug is still operating until your temp starts to rise... when the heater indicator turns off, it means you can now crank the engine...

kung ako lang talagan nag heater ako .
iba na kasi yung nag iingat , nadala na kasi ako sa sasakyan na mayat maya pagawa ng pagawa .
eh yung gumagamit kasi kahit napakabilis ng heater ng innova . naaunahan niya . gingawang gas . kapag suksok ng susi diretso start na. kung sana isuzu engine ok lang kahit gulpihin nila sanay talaga sa pang matibayan , eh crdi kasi nag merun pa naman issue yung innova na hard starting baka mauwi sa ganun .

November 13th, 2012 01:38 PM #15yes, kahit ilang araw pa yan... pag pasok mo ng susi pwede mo na agad i-start parang gas engine... kung may heater indicator naman pag namatay yung ilaw start na agad... sa adventure ko 4D56 na makina wala pa 5 secs patay na yung heater indicator start ko na agad yung makina... pero kahit nag start na yung glow plugs ko naka on pa din.. once na tumaas yung temp ko dun pa lang mag turn off yung glow plugs...
sa mga direct injections ganun din ang sequence nyan..ang kaibahan lang eh heater coils ang gamit para uminit o mag "warm-up" yung hangin na pumapasok sa makina.. di gaya ng glow plugs na pinaiinit mismo yung malapit sa pre chamber...
dapat ang diesel engine one click din.. kung hindi eh may problema yan gaya ng hangin sa fuel lines... mahinang battery or mahinang koneksyon ng glow plugs o pundido na glow plugs...

1 click nga lang kaya lang baka kaka start kasi ng without heater mauwi siya sa hard starting .

November 13th, 2012 02:00 PM #17sabi ko nga.. kahit nag start na yung engine, yung heater glow plugs mo or heater coils naka ON pa din yan.. once tumaas na yung temp mo dun pa lang yan mag turn OFF... sa manual nga nung kia carnival ko dati nasusulat na "don't drive the vehicle unless the temp needle starts to rise" kaya wait ko muna tumaas yung temp bago umandar..
