    to cooling system gurus,

    yung cooling fan ng engine ng car ko ay naka-fixed na as done by my mechanic. Di ba may viscous clutch yun? Ano ba'ng advantages and disadvantages ng naka-fixed na cooling fan? Ano kayang puspose bakit may clutch pa ang belt-driven cooling fan? Ang napansin ko lang, hindi na masyadong tumataas yung temp ng engine ko mula nung naka-fix na cooling fan. Paki-advise naman po....

    with a clutch on your fan, your engine can maintain a stable temperature by turn "on" or "off" the fan when needed. Since your fan is now always turning, the engine will not be able to maintain a stable operating temperature. It would run colder more often.

    One disadvantage of fixing it is that your engine will run cooler than it's expected optimum operating temperature. This may lead to a slight increase in fuel consumption.
