March 13th, 2009 12:41 PM #1hi,
i got a pic of my 9 year old, 75000 km radiator core: http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...g/milkyrad.jpg
i am not experiencing overheating. i am not leaking coolant at any part, my oil does not contain water, my water pump is new (changed at 73000km ).
questions:
- is this appearance normal?
- is this still cleanable w/o dismantling the rad?
- is it safe to use the flushing fluids such as prestone? - worry ko kasi baka makasira ng gaskets at hoses

looks a lot like rust to me.
ano texture nya? slimy? if not, it's probably just rust mixed with old coolant particulate. flush mo na lang. use distilled (wilkins) water next time. or caltex long life coolant (yung red liquid, black bottle).
rad flush? hmmm... nasira yung waterpump ng sentra ko dati dahil jan. pero you may have a diff car so your results may vary.
