February 18th, 2011 09:43 PM #1patulong po dito mga tsikoteers, kakapalit ko lang po ng bagong cylinder block, kasi nag karoon na ng konteng bubbles yung radatior ko, kaya pina check ko at pina check ko rin yung cylinder block ko, my crack pero hindi nag ooverheat at hindi tumataas yung temp ko kahit naka on a/c ng toyota surf 2lte matic diesel ko. kanina nakuha ko yung surf ko kasi pinalitan ko ng bagong cylinder block, pero nung ginamit ko mga 45-1hr of driving tumataas konte yung temperature ko, hindi siya normal na temp ng sasakyan, nagtataka ako kung bakit ganun eh bagong bago yung block ko.. yung lumang block ko na my crack hindi nga tumataas ang temp..

mukhang mali ang gawa ng mekaniko mo.kung walang thermostat yan dapat di mag overheat mas matagal lang tumaas ang temperature dahil nag circulate kagad ang tubig.may hiace 2lte rin ako.ano pinalitan cylinder head lang ba?check mo tubig or coolant mo kong may nag mix na langis baka may leak ang cylinder head gasket mo.check mo rin radiator fan clutch/fan mo baka mahina ikot ng radiator fan mo.na drain moba ang radiator mo baka barado.maraming factors bakit nag overheat taas temperature dapat alam ng mechaniko mo yan & kung nag palit ka cylinder head dapat paandarin ng matagal yan para ma observaan ng mechanic kasi noon nagpa overhaul ako matagal nilang pinaandar para makita kung may leak overheat etc.dapat bago cylinder head dapat di magoverheat taas temperature yan.pa check mo sa ibang mekaniko kasi lalong nagkaproblema ang makina mo dati di tumataas ang temperature.

not necessarily kung walang thermostat dapat di mag ooverheat. some thermostats are compound or two valve thermostats and when you remove it, the coolant just recirculates in the engine block and not reach the radiator. this route for the coolant passage is provided for for faster warm ups. please, do not remove the thermostat, unless it is broken, then replace it.

February 19th, 2011 06:03 PM #8so ano dapat ko gagawin sir? ipapagawa ko ito bukas, ireplace ko yung thermostat, ipacheck ko ulit yung assembly ng head, ipa overhaul ko ang radiator, ano pa sir? back-job ito eh, ginamit ko ngayon, mga 1hr of driving lumagpas sa center yung temp ko w/ a/c on..

Replace thermostat, check the radiator if mahina circulation ng tubig and kung may oil or bubles (if meron, cylinder head gasket yan malamang). No need to immediately overhaul the radiator kasi baka hindi naman yun ang problem. But a competent mechanic will easily see the problem with a thorough check-up kasi.
