I think water pump is still fine as I kept the motor running with the cap off sa radiator and water is moving, hindi rin bumubulwak pag inistart ko na. This happens with or without the aircon on and started after I got my aircon fixed. The aux fan for the aircon is working naman. No signs of water leaks. The thermostat has already been removed.
Here is what got done:
- Radiator overhauled.
- Replaced radiator cap.
Mga suggestions ng mekaniko ko:
- Wire the aircon aux fan to run all the time
- If the first suggestion fails top overhaul na raw to replace the master head gasket.
Medyo alangan ako dun sa unang suggestion as I feel its more of a quick fix than the cure. Ano pa po kaya ang namimiss ko? Meron pa ba ako dapat icheck? Could it be that the water pump is working but not enough?
Any input is greatly appreciated salamat po.

yun din iniisip ko. last time nasira din yun gauge ko ng gen1 paj. nasa overheat pirme pero nun open ko yun hood ok lang naman yun init ng engine. di naman nagbago ang idling and performance niya. unless you could smell and see boiling gasket sa between the top and block or something that would indicate overheating ok lang siya.

February 15th, 2008 12:29 PM #5Nacheck mo na ba yung thermostat kung gumagana pa... it may be a faulty thermostat valve (stuck up to close position and doesnt open anymore).

February 15th, 2008 01:45 PM #8wala na po yung thermostat. Yup balak ko rin paayos yung temp gauge. I feel its overheating based on the fact na lagi nagbabawas ng 1 tabong tubig tuwing ginagamit ko. At yun nga lumilipat yung tubig sa reservoir, this never happened before usually sa reservoir lang ako nagdadagdag ng tubig. There was this time na napansin ko kumukulo pa yung tubig sa reservoir.

Magkabit ka ulit ng thermostat, you are more prone to having engine problems without one. It's been discussed here many, many times.
If your radiator cap is bad it will release pressure sooner than it should, letting water/coolant flow out of the radiator and into the reservoir. Replace with good, OEM cap.
