October 12th, 2010 04:19 PM #1Hey Guys, Alam ko dami na thread about sa aircom manitnance cleaning troubleshooting etc. But I wanted to get you inputs about sa service ng Denso, any similar experience?
Info:
-Lancer 2004
-General Cleaning, and replace expansion valve and drier = 8K
What ive noticed after the cleaning is the AC compressor is not cutting off, unlike before. though sinabi naman nung tech ay naka set yung themostat to 4.5 deg C, sabi mag cut cut off pa ba yan sa sobrang lamig ng nakaset, sabi ni tech ay oo naman daw.
Now, here is the thing, 12 midnight, medyo umuulan ay tuloy tuloy padin ang andar ng compresor, at di naman ganun kalamig sa loob, ( i would understand if i was in stuck in traffic at 12 noon and high heat).
I feel like ive been ripped off, and Dissapointed at the same time thinking that if i cash out 8K the AC of the would be at least almost as good as before.
Other observations:
The freon is i think not new, meron silang resevoir ( so instead na pasingawin sa open air ay dun niloa ilalagay, then yung ichacharge na ulit ng freon ay yun din ang ibabalik nila, for sure ang dami nang impurities nun at halo halong kotse at truck na ang hinugutan nila nun. Is this practice acceptable? or am i just being too meticulous?

Venting freon to the atmosphere is illegal now. Prevents the depletion of the ozone layer in the atmosphere.
The machine you described is a freon recovery machine. The recovered freon is re-used back after the A/C is serviced.
You might want to go back to the shop and have them take a look why your A/C is not functioning correctly before assigning blame.

ibalik niyo muna ulit sa kanila sir. kung gawan nila ng action then good, problem solved. if not, then post again your dilemma here sir.

October 12th, 2010 05:47 PM #4yun na nga lang ang pinaka the best dun, ay yung ibalik sa kanila.
juts hope na eto na yung last na balik ko sa shop nila.
Regarding the recovery machine ng freon, kung yun din yung ginamit nila sa auto, then why charge me 1.2K for freon?
This all doesnt make sense to me.
BTW, im not trying to bad mouth a particular brand or product, and im not refering to the entire denso team as a whole but just a particular branch, and refering to the people running the branch.Last edited by evil20angel; October 12th, 2010 at 05:49 PM. Reason: add on

Refrigerant does not "fade away" that's why some or almost all of A/C shops "reuse" them..."it leaks away" aside from contamination of moisture and so on.
Does Denso use the R-134a already in all of their servicing? looking at the thermodynamic characteristics of R-134a, it would require greater power input in compressing it than R-22 thus longer compressor operation.
but in your case, it can only be stopped "manually" not automatically. then amount of refrigerant charged into system could be inadequate. that is one and usually the common mistake since pressure readings (by gauge manifold) depends on ambient temperatures.

*miked, any idea where i can get surplus compressors?
Thanks!Last edited by evil20angel; October 17th, 2010 at 01:33 AM. Reason: typo
