    mga dudes!

any thoughts/ideas kung mas effective ba kung 100% pure distilled water(wilkins) ang nakalagay sa radiator or mixed?

you should put a 50% coolant and 50% distilled water or you can refer to your car's manual for the correct mixture. Purpose of the coolant is to increase the boiling point of water and prevent corrosion in the cooling system, AFAIK.

it is not advisable to use tap water on your radiator there would be residue build up...

advisable tlaga ang distilled water in your radiator because it is free from minerals. ordinary tap water is full of minerals like salt which, with constant heat, will solidify and clog the radiator.

Guys, sorry for the ignorance pero ngayon ko lang din nalaman na may combination din pala yan. Sabi nyo, 50 % distilled and 50 % coolant.

Ano yung coolant? Isang chemical ba yan? May brand ba kayo na mare recommend? Magkano kaya yun?

*goldencoil: coolant contains a chemical called Ethylene Glycol/Polyethylene Glycol. in which, the boiling point is almost triple than of water (water boils at 100 degrees Centigrade). it also protects your radiator for rust and corrosion..

brands, madaming maganda dyan. almost pare-pareho naman ingredients nyan (as i've stated above). personally, i use glycoshell (from shell).

the most important is to follow the 50% water-coolant mixture. and never mix different types of engine coolant. You can damage or further reduce your car radiator’s efficiency by mixing the different types. Before you change types, thoroughly drain and flush your cooling system.

coolant or w/out coolant?
