October 1st, 2011 05:09 PM #1I plan to replace my compressor for my Toyota Corolla 95 XE, can anyone suggest a brand/model that will be compatible for my car? most shops i went to suggested Denso, others suggest a smaller one used for taxis and some say i get the bigger one. Smaller one cost around 4500 and the bigger one is around 8000. They told me to convert it instead of replacing surplus or the same type(original) because surplus have no guaranty on how long it will be good and the old original one might be phased out eventually because its more than 10 years old even if its brand new, and its very expensive. they all suggested to replace the drier and to clean a part in the evaporator to make it cool again. Any suggestion on what i should buy?
