Hi! I just noticed na yung radiator ko has a crack (Yun yung color back na gawa sa fiber plastic) and some liquid start to leak from it. I noticed na rin na naubos yun water reserve ko so malamang yun yung problem.

Okay lang ba if i would replace it by a fabricated (gawang tanso) or should i go for a surplus? Mahal kase sobra yugn original eh .. o kahit shop that you guys can recomend ..

Remove your radiator cap while the crack is still there. Ofcourse you have to remove it when the engine is cold or if you have sufficient cover for your hands. Let the engine run while the cap is off so that pressure won't build up and lose water.

Pwede naman pagawa yung tanso, just be sure that the cap snout will fit the radiator cap evenly and keep pressure inside. Nagkaroon din ng ganyang problema yung AE101 namin dati, kaso may singaw sa busal kaya pinaremedyohan ko pa ulit para tama ang sikip ng cap. Mind you I even heard some news that those radiator bursts under pressure.

But if you will spend more time to your vehicle, say for another 5 years or more. Nothing beats an original set that will last more and give you peace of mind. :D

thanks chief! I just bought a japan surplus radiator from thesame car model, it look exactly the same but the problem is that the radiator is designed for automatic kaya these is an extra small hose on the lower portion of the radiator. Is it okay kung takpan ko lang yung hose then ikabit ko na?

Crimp the open end where the hose is attached to. Or better yet have a welder solder and close the opening. Sisingaw din yan pag maluwag ang pagkakasara. It should be able to withstand heat and pressure build up.
