September 26th, 2006 10:45 AM #1Mga bros,
I sent my car to Honda cars Kalookan because I heard a pretty bad grating noise while I was driving my car.
According to them, the compressor had given out, including all the parts inside (bearings, etc.).
They quoted me around 34K for everything, including cleaning and labor.
I was thinking that maybe I could save something if I take it to a good aircon repair shop.
What do you guys think? My wife says CASA na lang daw, para sure but I wanted to hear your opinions. Do you know of a good aircon shop na reliable ang service?
Appreciate any inputs guys!
Thanks in advance...

Dito po sa may Las Pinas area, CeeJay's aircon is one of the best.
It's located between Perpetual Help Medical Center and Uniwide MetroMall, along Zapote-Alabang Road.

34K? wtf!
mukhang split type aircon na ilalagay dyan ah.... hehehehehe.
anyway, sa labas mo na lang ipatira yan. there are lots of good shops na pwedeng gumawa.
for parts, madami ding mabibilihang original/replacement na brand new. avoid buying surplus, specially sa aircon parts. talo ka dyan, dahil you will never know when it will conk out. kung if you are within the las pinas/alabang area, you can get original and replacement aircon parts dun sa may shop sa tapat ng Admiral Village (near Victoria Court). tapos patira mo kay Ceejay....

Php34k?
Around Php6k lang ang compressor replacement kina Mang Mar. Yun nga lang surplus ang gamit nila. Ibig sabihin makaka-six na surplus compressors na ko bago ko umabot ng Php36k. Yung brand new compressor ba will last six times as long as a surplus unit? Kahit sabihin mong worst-case scenario at 3 years lang tumagal yung surplus, you're still looking at an 18 year service life. Baka nabenta mo na oto mo nun! hehehe.
Run-of-the-mill lang naman a/c ng Civic. Nothing exotic about it. It's generic Japanese. Any competent shop can do work on it.
Kung nakarating ka ng Honda Cars Kalookan, malapit ka na din kina Mang Mar.
