One of the auxiliary fans seem to "freeze up" every now and then.
It starts to run normally again when I tap on it though.
Any ideas on how to remedy this?

April 3rd, 2008 10:25 AM #2bring it to your mechanic. mahirap na baka magoverheat. Ang init pa naman ngayon. i'm guessing for replacement na yan.

April 3rd, 2008 11:50 AM #5If I wer you il have it replaced, at least peace of mind. Had mine replaced just last week, 2.5 k Nagastos ko for brand new. I heard na there are surplus motor nyan, pero for me, sa brand new na ako para sure. Sa cee-jay ako nagpapalit and it took about an hour para matapos, and aun, lakas ng fan and back to normal ang temperature meter.

A fan that freezes and turns again on tapping is a failing fan. don't believe your mechanic na ok pa yan. have it replaced kahit na surplus. mahirap na

i would agree with the previous posters, kung pinalitan lang yung mga carbon brush nyan, sandali lang ang buhay nyan.
i also do not recommend using surplus fans. you will never know when it will die on you.
replace it with a replacement part. to give you an idea, my aux fan also died around three weeks ago. i had it replaced with a brand new replacement part at Ceejays (too). Costs 4,500.00 compared to the OEM which costs Php 6,500.00. The replacement motor comes with a six month warranty with Ceejays too so walang magiging problema. May peace of mind ka pa.
Mahirap magoverheat ngayon lalo na summer.

Nangyari sakin yan sa civic ko tap tap lang pero ok tapos sira na uli tapos pag umaandar umiikot ung fan due to air flow usually worn out na ang carbon brush. Kung hindi sealed type ung motor puede maayos pero pag hindi buy nalang surplus nakabli ako 1k lang buong assembly pa check mo nalang sa kanila kung ok pa ang ikot mabait naman mga yan kasi sakin hinanap nila ako ng maganda ang ikot kasi ung iba mabagal na. pag bibili ka count your blades kasi kailangan yan to get a motor that will be compatible

Guys, thanks for the input.
I had it replaced earlier. Costed 750 for a brand new sanden aux fan.
May laban na ulit yung air-con sa summer heat

i had changed mine by Cee-Jays also. Cost 1,500 for the smaller sanden the Original one will cost me 4,500. I just had my radiator overhauled din kaya im on a tight budget. ganun ba talaga yun aux fan makasama na yun motor dun sa fan assembly?
