Godbless.

Wala, naka baba ang compressor diba? So ang gagana dyan blower lang and/or condenser fan. I see no harm happening.

September 7th, 2012 12:53 AM #3my fear is, since the compressor is already out, the fan belt powering that compressor pulley isn't going to do anything else. i'm not familiar with the xl, but i hope the alternator is powered by another belt..
btw, i read sometime back, that some compressors can be rebuilt, but they won't perform as good or as long as original.
is it worth having them rebuilt?Last edited by dr. d; September 7th, 2012 at 12:59 AM.

In the long run, you will spend more if you opt for multiple repairs of those items, not to mention the time you spent on it. Getting a new one is always better.
My compressor on my 13 year old car was about to give up, I think, when I went to my trusted shop, the cost of repair would amount to around 4 to 5k, same as a suplus, a reconditioned would cost around 10k, and brand new was 16k. I went for the brand new, at least nothing to worry for the next 10years or so. You will always get what you pay for.

Haha! Anyway, saan po kaya place na pwede? We live in Tatalon area by the way. It would be best if you can give a name of a shop, if it's not in violation of the forum's rules and regulations. Thanks in advance!
