I top up the reserve tank by about 800ml of distilled water a week. While filling up, I can see some water just below the radiator.
Can radiators be repaired or is is already up for replacement once it gets holes?
Magkano kaya radiator for an 02 altis?

baka hindi sa radiator.... but you have to check the following also:
a) hoses
b) water pump
c) tsaka lang siguro radiator
di naman tumataas temperature mo? kasi pag hindi naman, it means your radiator is still holding coolant.... pag ikot lang papunta sa reservoir nagkakaroon ng leaks.

don't wait till the temp rises. when your rad/reservoir is already out of water, your temp will start to rise. if you're losing water, definitely there's something wrong with the cooling system. if there's no visible culprit, start replacing cheaper parts first.
can you confirm that the water on the ground is from the rad, and not a spill when you put water in it? if you are certain, you can buy a rad for about 3-6K.

September 28th, 2014 01:56 PM #7If you really want to find a hidden leak, add some UV die into the cooling loop, have it circulate for 2 minutes (cold engine) and then wait.
Then get a UV light and start doing a trace.
It is normal for the reservoir to have lower coolant levels in situations wherein the engine draws back the coolant which has overflown during high temp operation from the engine.
If you're losing coolant rapidly it is likely because of a leak somewhere.
